Deposit and Cancellation Policy Dorothy Shi Photography

Dorothy Shi Photography is committed to providing exceptional, creative experience for her clients. Each session is scheduled to allow time to achieve the best for her clients. Unfortunately, when a client cancels without giving notice, it prevents another client from being scheduled to shoot. No shows, late cancellation have an impact on our business. For these reasons Dorothy Shi Photography has implemented a cancellation policy that will be strictly observed.

1. A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to book and hold the date for your session and serves as a cancellation fee. 

2. All remaining balances are due at the time of the session.

3. A minimum of 48-72 hours prior is required to cancel a session. This fee can be credited towards a future session and rebooking at a future date and time.

4. Same day cancelation results in loss of deposit, the deposit will then serve as a cancelation fee.

5. If there are extenuating circumstances, as in illness, or an act of God it is up to the photographer’s discretion to hold the retainer to credit towards a future session.

6. In the event that the photographer does reschedule a new session, cancelation for any reason of the new date will result in loss of deposit.

Any future session will need to be held with a new retainer.
